PAYE Calculator — Sri Lanka 2025/26
Looking for a PAYE calculator? In Sri Lanka, PAYE (Pay As You Earn) was replaced by APIT — Advance Personal Income Tax — but it works the same way: your employer deducts income tax from your salary before paying you.
Under the 2025/26 tables, the first Rs. 150,000 of monthly gross is tax-free, then slabs of 6%, 18%, 24%, 30% and 36% apply progressively. On a Rs. 200,000 salary the deduction is Rs. 3,000/month; your take-home after EPF and stamp duty is Rs. 180,975 (assuming the full salary is basic).
The calculator gives you the complete payslip — tax, EPF 8%, employer contributions, bonus tax, and increment planning with the largest raise that stays in your current tax band.
