Privacy at MyPayslip.lk
Privacy is part of the product design. Salary calculations happen locally, while the limited network features are documented below.
Calculator inputs stay on your device
Salary, allowance, EPF base, employee, employer and payslip values are calculated in your browser. They are not submitted to MyPayslip.lk when you use the calculators or payslip generator.
Calculator preferences may be saved in your browser's local storage so you can continue your calculation. You can remove them by clearing this site's browser data.
Analytics
Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics measure page visits, device and referral information, and named product events such as starting or completing a page's primary action, choosing a next tool, opening the rank tool, viewing or using a suggestion box, attempting or completing an anonymous contribution, or using a share action.
To distinguish a return from a refresh, the browser keeps a last-visit timestamp for each tracked page. A name-only return event is recorded when that page is revisited after at least 30 minutes and within seven days. The timestamp stays on your device until you clear this site's browser data and is not attached to analytics events.
Salary amounts, employee names, company names, suggestion text, contact details and the contents of a payslip are not attached to analytics events.
Shared links
Shared calculator links can contain the values you chose to share. Anyone receiving the link can read those values, and the URL can appear in browser history or services used to send it.
MyPayslip.lk creates a shared link only after you choose a copy, WhatsApp, QR or native-share action.
Feedback and optional contact details
The suggestion form sends the message you enter, the page path and any optional contact detail to a private feedback store. It also sends a random submission ID that is retained for seven days only to prevent a retry from creating a duplicate issue. A separate rate-limit record derived from the network address expires after 24 hours.
When public issue creation is enabled, the suggestion and its MyPayslip.lk page path can also become a public issue. The optional contact detail is never included in that public issue. Do not submit salary figures, names, NIC numbers, private payslips or employer records.
Optional anonymous salary contribution
The salary comparison experiment is opt-in. It sends a salary rounded to the nearest Rs. 10,000 together with the selected role, experience band and industry, without a name or account identifier.
The stored contribution does not include a network address. A separate one-way hashed network-address key limits submissions and rank previews, is not linked to the contribution, and expires after 24 hours.
Anonymous counter and abuse prevention
A completed calculation can increment an aggregate usage counter without sending the salary or other calculator values.
Feedback, contributions, rank previews and the calculation counter use separate one-way hashed network-address keys to enforce daily limits. These keys expire after 24 hours and are not attached to analytics events or stored content.
Contact and corrections
Report a privacy, calculation or source concern through the public issue tracker. Do not include personal or payroll records. For private product feedback, use the optional feedback form inside the calculator results.
